Operating Room RN Job in Springfield, MO

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for night shifts in the Operating Room. This 13-week travel assignment offers a 3x12 night schedule with weekly pay of $2,519 and 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
• Work as both scrub nurse and circulating nurse as assigned
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Operate advanced surgical equipment including the DaVinci robotic system
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio during procedures
• Float to other OR areas as needed by the facility
• Respond to on-call requirements, averaging 5 or fewer calls per 8 weeks

Requirements:

• Current RN license, eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience (teaching hospital experience considered)
• Scrub and OR circulator experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience with multiple years strongly preferred
• BLS certification from AHA only

Shift and Scheduling:

Night shifts run between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Weekend hours are required as needed by the facility. Night shift staff orient on day shift and must be available for the entire orientation week. The assignment begins July 13, 2026.

Mercy Hospital Springfield uses the EPIC EMR system. Scrubs are provided by the facility. Professional attire is required; jeans are not acceptable.
