ED RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix is seeking a registered nurse for its Emergency Department. This 91-day travel assignment runs from August 31, 2026, and offers three 12-hour night shifts per week.

Compensation and schedule:

• $2,288 weekly pay
• 3x12-hour night shifts
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Holidays based on unit coverage needs

Clinical requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience
• At least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Competency in sterile field techniques, including central line dressing changes
• Proficiency with Phillips monitors and ability to read telemetry strips

Required certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS (ENPC is not accepted in place of PALS)

Preferred certifications:

• TNCC
• ATCN

Onboarding and competency:

• 2–3 shifts of floor-specific orientation
• Required SIMs Lab completion for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail)
• Pass/fail exam on Day 1 of orientation with provided study guide
• Charting system: Cerner

Facility and scheduling:

• May be floated between up to 4 facilities approximately 30 minutes apart, including mid-shift
• Own vehicle required for travel between facilities
• Navy scrubs required

Additional requirements:

• Natural hair color required
• No facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• BSN not required
