Telemetry RN Job in New Orleans, LA

Join Ochsner West Campus as a Registered Nurse in our Telemetry unit. You will provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a long-term acute care setting, with a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform special procedures including TPN, wound care, drain management, foley catheter insertion, and narcotic administration
• Manage PICCs and administer IV antibiotics
• Place and manage pegs
• Collaborate with the wound care team during their Monday through Friday rounds with wound care NP and wound care nurse

Schedule and Assignment Details

You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week with self-scheduling and weekend coverage required. Block scheduling is available. The assignment is 91 days, beginning July 20, 2026. You will receive 12 hours of on-unit orientation.

Requirements

• Current RN license (Compact or Louisiana)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Telemetry or related specialty
• Epic charting system experience
• ACLS and BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility address

The facility provides interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary services to support your patient care.
