Job Details:

• Varied work schedule
• Minimum 2 years of Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Stroke experience required
• CCRN certification required
• TNCC or ATCN certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Current, valid RN license required
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients in accordance with professional nursing practice standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and manage individualized plans of care including discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Provide direct patient care based on physician orders and nursing plan of care while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel as appropriate
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in patient records
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and contribute to the education and orientation of facility personnel
• Actively participate in improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
