ICU Registered Nurse Job in Fishersville, VA

Augusta Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit in Fishersville, VA. This is a 182-day travel assignment with a start date of October 5, 2026, paying $1,944 weekly on a 3x12 nights schedule.

Position Overview

You will care for adult patient populations in our ICU with a typical patient ratio of 2–3 patients. The role includes every other weekend scheduling with self-scheduling flexibility. You may float within unit to acute care on a 1:4 ratio during low census periods or when additional support is needed.

Experience & Credentials Required

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience; 2 years preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with Meditech charting system preferred

Clinical Skills

You will manage arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, blood products, and ventilated patients. Additional competencies include central line care, chronic and acute renal failure management, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), infection prevention, arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition and management, isolation precautions, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure care, phlebotomy, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization/intervention care, IV initiation and maintenance, suctioning (endotracheal and nasotracheal), cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip titration, and ventilator management.
