Opportunity:

Technologist - Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray

Job Details:

• Perform a wide variety of technical radiologic procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity
• Apply appropriate skills independently to facilitate patient diagnoses
• May be assigned supervisory or instructional responsibilities to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist
• Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACS applications
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with departmental, hospital, and OSHA standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Attend annual mandatory education including blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation
• Maintain department competencies as required
• Must have excellent patient care skills
• Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography
• On-call required
• Every other weekend required with holiday coverage as needed
• Must be willing to take call - travelers who will not take call will not be considered
• Must work at least two of the following holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after; Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after; New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and weekend after
• Traveler must have their own vehicle
• 2 years of experience required with 1 year of current experience required
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT (R), BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License required or proof of application required
• X-Ray Technologist skills checklist current within 1 year required
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Traveler must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
