PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hours per week considered
• Weekend coverage required, expect to work some holidays
• Patient ratios of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
• Unit serves adult and geriatric patient populations
• 24-bed Progressive Care Unit with a daily census of 24 patients
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, chest tubes, CVA management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, cardiac drip management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care and management, traumatic brain injury management, and wound care and wound vac
