Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Charge RN experience requested
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with 32 rooms and an average daily census of 29
• Required certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Required charting systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Skills and knowledge required include: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Nasal Cannula, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Chest Tubes, Starting IVs, PICC Line Management, Blood Product Administration, and Feeding Tube Care and Management
• Additional skills include: Telemetry/remote monitoring, Peripheral Line Care/Management, CVA management, and Use of Rapid Response/Code Teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
• Every other weekend required unless specified otherwise
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Expected to work major holidays that fall within the assignment period
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• RTO blackout dates: Spring Break (April 4th–12th)
• GA or Compact nursing license required
