Job Details:

• Work weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Day shift position
• Uniform color required: Caribbean blue
• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required; 2 years preferred
• Required certifications: ARMRIT (Certified MRI Technologist) or ARRT-MR (ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging), and BLS (AHA), ARC-BLS, or BLS-Instructor
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Perform a wide variety of MRI technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
• Obtain complete clinical history and assess for contraindicating conditions prior to exams
• Administer and verify contrast media orders, including checking patient GFR and weight-based dosing
• Ensure proper patient identification and privacy throughout all procedures
• Monitor patient condition and evaluate situations requiring physician intervention
• Operate all MRI workstations and push/retrieve studies to the PACS system
• Maintain MRI suite safety standards including keeping suite locked at all times
• Restock linens and supplies and maintain department cleanliness
• Transport, position, and assist patients on and off the procedure table
• Apply supportive and immobilization devices and equipment as needed
• Must be competent in all aspects of MRI including patient positioning, pulse sequence parameters, and magnet safety
• Must have knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology
• Must be able to function independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Take call when necessary
