About this role

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an Echo Technologist for a 70-week travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026. You will work 4x10 shifts (Friday through Monday) at $2,275.20 per week.

Role Overview

As an Echo Technologist, you will perform comprehensive echocardiography services across inpatient, ICU, and outpatient settings. Your caseload will average approximately 8 TTEs per 10-hour shift. You will scan adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, performing a range of studies including:

  • Transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) with Lumason contrast, 3D, and strain imaging
  • Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
  • Stress echocardiograms and treadmill stress echo
  • Structural procedures including TAVRs, Mitral Clips, MVRs, TVRs, and ASD closures
  • Advanced device imaging (LVAD, Impella, ECMO)
  • Portable studies and emergency department scans

You will collaborate with cardiologists on preliminary reporting and may support organ recovery and spine center operations as needed. Floating within the facility and scope of practice is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of echocardiography experience; first-time travelers accepted
  • Current Georgia license
  • BLS certification and either RDCS or CCI RCS certification
  • Proficiency with 3D echo, TEE, pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo, M-Mode, and bubble studies
  • Experience with contrast agents and portable studies
  • Familiarity with Philips and Siemens ultrasound equipment preferred
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Community hospital, Trauma Level I or II, and ICU experience preferred

Assignment Details

One week of on-call duty is required twice during the 13-week contract cycle. Holiday coverage is mandatory if major holidays fall within your assignment period. You may take a maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off; all requests must be finalized at submission.
