Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-week contract with options to sign for 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour shifts available
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 for adults and geriatric patients
• No on-call required
• Float within service line as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must pass Relias EKG exam prior to starting
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Provide care for unit patients waiting to be admitted from the Emergency Department until an inpatient bed becomes available
• Required skills include: interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care and management, pre/post hemodialysis management, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, starting IVs, heparin protocols, managing cardiac drips (no titration), PCA, thrombolytic agents, substance withdrawal, ortho trauma, traction, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and isolation precautions
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
