Physical Therapist Job in Sacramento, CA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 91-day assignment at Bruceville Terrace in Sacramento, CA, starting September 29, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide inpatient physical therapy in a post-acute care setting, working primarily within a skilled nursing facility with the ability to float to an inpatient acute care hospital on the same campus. This is an independent contributor role where you'll treat 8–9 patients per day, covering stations A, B, C, and D. You are expected to be first to float when patient needs require it.

Schedule & Compensation

This position offers 5×8 day shifts beginning at 8:00 AM, with every other weekend requirement (2 weekend shifts per month). There are no on-call responsibilities. You will earn $2,408 weekly.

Clinical Focus

You will work with patients presenting common diagnoses including total joint replacements (TKA, THA), stroke (CVA), deconditioning, pneumonia, balance difficulties, COPD, and geriatric patients with chronic conditions. You'll perform patient transfers, work independently, and maintain close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Current California PT license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 6 months acute care or skilled nursing experience (skilled nursing experience preferred)
• Ability to perform patient transfers and work independently
• Strong communication skills

What to Expect

You will chart in the Cerner EMR system and receive floor-specific orientation upon arrival. Burgundy scrubs are required. This assignment places you in an environment where you'll apply foundational acute care knowledge while developing deeper expertise in post-acute rehabilitation and geriatric patient management.
