Physical Therapist Job in Northridge, CA

You'll work as a Physical Therapist at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, a Level 2 Trauma Center in Northridge, California. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 5x8 hour day shifts, Sunday through Thursday
• Weekly pay: $2,620.80

Role Responsibilities

You'll deliver physical therapy across acute care settings including outpatient, inpatient, and rehab units. Patient caseloads include up to 9 outpatient patients per day, up to 13 inpatient patients per day, and varying rehab census. Common diagnoses are orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological, trauma, cardiac, and med-surg. You may float to other facility areas as needed. Inpatient assignments do not include NICU, pediatrics, PICU, ER, or ICU. Weekend requirements vary by requisition; holidays are not required.

Facility Support and Environment

• Charting system: Cerner Powerchart
• Department-specific orientation: 1.5 days, including Cerner training if needed
• Rehab aides available—typically 2 on staff to assist
• Dress code: Maroon polo shirt, dark colored pants, closed-toed shoes; lab coat optional

Requirements

• Valid state physical therapy license
• Minimum one year of clinical experience
• BLS Certification
• Travel experience preferred
• Trauma experience preferred
