Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM in the Trauma ICU
• Self-scheduling available, managed by manager based on unit needs
• 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2 in ICU and 1:4 in PCU
• 18-bed unit caring for adult and pediatric patients 15 years and older
• Care for patients with various trauma injuries, sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, and cardiac arrest
• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
• Work with equipment including CVPs, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, Zoll-Thermoguard, and Bell Mont rapid transfuser
• Required to read and interpret cardiac monitoring using Draeger heart monitoring system with centralized telemetry
• Manage patients on respiratory support ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation
• Floating required to inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• First-time travelers will not be accepted
• Valid driver's license required at submittal
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
