Surgical Tech - CVOR Tech

Job Details:

• 8-hour shifts with available shift times: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM, and 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Call required with 30-minute response time
• Weekday call required 4-8 times per 4-week schedule, self-scheduled
• Call hours begin at the end of shift until 7:00 AM the next morning
• Two call teams: heart and regular
• Weekend call for CST's on 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shifts required every 4th weekend; 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM shift weekend call is variable based on needs
• Holiday requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday in both summer and winter months
• No floating required for techs
• 2-3 shifts of floor-specific orientation provided
• Work in a 12-suite general OR, 1 CVOR suite, and 1 hybrid room performing approximately 14 cases per day on average
• Common case types include orthopedics (total joints), gynecology, urology, trauma surgeries, ENT, general, plastics, vascular, neurology, and robotics (Da Vinci)
• CVOR procedures include open heart, valves, thoracotomy, and trauma; CVOR procedures not required unless specifically requested in job requisition
• Must have trauma, orthopedic, and general surgery experience
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Charting system: Cerner Surginet
• Scrubs provided
• Required certifications: BLS Certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
