Respiratory Therapist Job in Grand Forks, ND

Altru is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 97-week travel assignment in Grand Forks, ND. You will work 3x12 NOC shifts and earn $2,758 per week with a guaranteed 36 hours worked per week.

In this role, you will specialize in NICU respiratory therapy, providing critical care to neonatal patients. Your responsibilities include:

• Perform and document evaluations and patient assessments
• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic treatment and physician assistance
• Deliver appropriate patient education, family teaching, and support based on patient and family needs
• Identify significant changes in patient condition and take appropriate action through reporting, staffing, and documentation
• Communicate pertinent information to appropriate caregivers and document accordingly
• Perform pain assessments and take appropriate action according to standard operating procedures
• Complete all documentation including order entry, verification, electronic medical record (EMR), medication charting, patient safety and incident variance reports, and equipment repair tags
• Process patient charges and run and verify reports as needed
• Disassemble, clean, assemble, and perform preventative maintenance on respiratory equipment according to standard operating procedures
• Transport infants to and from referral health systems while providing high quality critical care

Required Credentials:

• North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care license (required prior to start)
• Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Respiratory Therapist license (required prior to start)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
