Job Details:

• Perform and document evaluations and patient assessments for NICU patients
• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic treatment and physician assistance
• Deliver appropriate patient education, family teaching, and support based on individual patient and family needs
• Identify significant changes in patient condition and take appropriate action, including reporting and documentation
• Communicate pertinent information to appropriate caregivers
• Perform pain assessments and take appropriate action according to standard operating procedures
• Complete all documentation including order entry, verification, electronic medical record (EMR), medication charting, patient safety/incident variance reports, and equipment repair tags
• Process patient charges and run and verify reports as needed
• Disassemble, clean, assemble, and perform preventative maintenance on respiratory equipment according to standard operating procedures
• Properly tag equipment in need of preventative maintenance, safety checks, or repairs
• Responsible for transport of infants to and from referral health systems
• Provide high quality critical care in accordance with established patient care guidelines
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP (RQI Partners)
• Active Respiratory Therapist license required through North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care and Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
