Respiratory Therapist Job in Grand Forks, ND

You will provide specialized respiratory care for neonatal patients in a critical care setting at Altru in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This is a 90-day travel assignment working 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week, paying $2,772 weekly.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform and document patient evaluations and assessments for neonatal patients
• Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic treatments and provide physician assistance
• Educate patients and families according to their specific needs
• Monitor for significant changes in patient condition and report appropriately
• Complete pain assessments and implement interventions per protocols
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including order entry, EMR charting, patient safety reports, and equipment maintenance records
• Process patient charges and verify billing reports
• Disassemble, clean, and maintain respiratory equipment according to standard operating procedures
• Transport neonatal patients to and from referral health systems as needed
• Deliver high-quality critical care aligned with established patient care guidelines

Required credentials and licenses:

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• NRP (RQI Partners)
• North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care license
• Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Respiratory Therapist license
