ED Registered Nurse Job in Wichita Falls, TX

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at United Regional, a 62-room Level II Trauma Center serving Wichita Falls, TX. This is a travel position with a 91-day duration, starting November 16, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 nights on a 36/48 hour alternating block schedule
• 84 hours biweekly guaranteed
• $2,217 weekly pay
• Weekend coverage required

Role Details

You will support both the ED and the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), which operates under ED provider oversight with stable, independent patients. The ED manages a daily census of 190 with patients ranging from neonates through all age groups. You will work with a standard patient ratio of 4:1 in the ED and up to 5:1 in the CDU.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Arterial line management and blood product administration
• Care of ventilated patients and central line management
• Continuous IV sedation and paralytics administration
• IV vasopressor management
• Dysrhythmia and ABG interpretation
• Multisystem organ dysfunction management
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Triage, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, and IV initiation and maintenance

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED or trauma facility experience (3 years preferred)
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS

Interdisciplinary support and interpretation services are available. You will join a team providing comprehensive emergency and trauma care in a high-volume setting.
