ED Registered Nurse Job in Midland, TX

Midland Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its 42-bed Emergency Department. This is a 70-week travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026, with 3x12 night shifts and weekly pay of $2,482.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience; 5–8 years preferred
• Current experience in a Level II or III trauma center required
• Recent ER travel experience within the past 6–8 months preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Required Certifications:

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and NRP (you must be willing to obtain any not currently held)

Clinical Responsibilities:

You will manage patients across all age groups—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—in a high-acuity setting with daily census around 200 patients. Core competencies include triage, IV placement and maintenance, 12-lead EKG interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition and management, BiPAP and CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, chest tube management, procedural sedation, and blood product administration.

You will also handle trauma cases including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation, burns, head injuries, and spinal cord injuries. Additional responsibilities encompass management of CVA, seizures, drug overdose, poison ingestion, psychiatric holds, suicidal patients, and behavioral health conditions.

Support and Environment:

The department provides interdisciplinary support through respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretarial staff. You should be prepared to work some holidays during your assignment.

Eligibility:

Local candidates within a 50-mile radius of Midland are not accepted for this position. You must be willing to relocate for the duration of the assignment.
