ED RN Job in Tomball, TX

Join the emergency department at HCA Houston Tomball as a registered nurse. This is a 13-week travel assignment working the night shift (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), three days per week. You'll earn $1,674 per week and begin October 19, 2026.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in a Level III trauma center that also operates as an accredited chest pain center and primary stroke center. Your responsibilities include acute care assessment, IV initiation, blood collection, blood transfusions, and medication administration. You will perform resuscitation of adult and pediatric patients, assist with intubation, restraint application, splinting, and moderate sedation. You'll also provide care for behavioral health patients and work with specialized equipment including Level 1 infusers, Lucas devices, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, GE bedside monitors, and EKG machines. Documentation occurs in the Meditech EMR system.

Unit Details

You will work in a staffed environment consisting of one charge nurse, four RNs, one paramedic, and one to three sitters. Your patient ratio is 1:4. The department offers day and night shifts; you will work nights exclusively on this assignment. There is no on-call requirement and no floating to other units. A minimum of two weekends per month is required. Royal blue scrubs are required.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS or ENPC certification

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses)
• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
