Emergency Room RN Job in Austin, TX

North Austin Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 13-week contract assignment in the Emergency Department. You will work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a rotating schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including weekends. This is a backfill role with no on-call responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Perform emergency procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
• Work as a collaborative team member, anticipating patient and departmental needs
• Operate the Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Greater than 2 years of emergency nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification (required before start date)
• ACLS certification (required before start date)
• TNCC certification (required before start date)
• ENPC certification (required before start date)
• PALS certification
• NIHSS certification

Dress Code

Navy blue scrubs and navy blue zip-up sweater are required. Pull-over sweatshirts are not acceptable.
