ICU Nurse Job in Phoenix, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. You will work 12-hour shifts on a 32-bed Neuro ICU unit with a 1:2 patient ratio, providing critical care for patients with complex neurological conditions including craniotomies, brain tumor removals, ablations, brain biopsies, spinal surgeries, and scoliosis repair.

Assignment Details:

• Shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Start Date: August 17, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,229.12
• Required weekend shifts: four per four-week cycle
• Orientation: two-shift floor-specific training provided

Clinical Requirements:

• Minimum two years ICU experience in a facility with 450+ beds (18 months Neuro ICU experience may be considered)
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• EVD (External Ventricular Drain) experience required
• Strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience
• 3–6 months travel nursing experience required

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Current RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Pass DYS exam prior to offer (two attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail Day 1 orientation exam with study guide provided
• SIMs Lab completion required for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• BSN not required

Facility & Support:

• EMR system: Cerner
• Equipment: Phillips monitors and ventilators
• 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy support available
• Charge nurse present; does not take patients
• Scrub color: Steel grey for Neuro floors
• Potential float to ICU floors and Telemetry units (1:4 ratio on Tele); first to float when required

Additional Requirements:

• Own vehicle required for travel between campuses
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility (driver's license used for verification)
• Natural hair color; no facial piercings; men must be clean shaven for fit test
• May be placed on standby for scheduled shifts
