Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekends required on a rotation basis as needed
• Holiday shifts required based on unit need
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• CNA support available at a 1:8 ratio with up to 3 CNAs when unit is at full capacity
• Charge nurse on each shift does not take patients, with an Admin Supervisor on site 24/7
• Telemetry Techs on unit; RNs are required to sign off on their strips using SpaceLabs monitoring system
• Common diagnoses include Heart Failure, COPD, Sepsis, AFIB, Pneumonia, Stroke, detox, and suicidal holds
• Administer set rate drip medications including Diltiazem, Heparin, Amiodarone, and Lidocaine
• RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP (patients on BiPAP for more than 4 hours will transfer to ICU), and High Flow
• Team nursing model in place; experienced travelers may serve as lead RNs
• Floating required to MedSurg within the facility and may include floating to Telemetry units in Meridian or Boise
• Shifts scheduled by unit scheduler and may be blocked or grouped together
• 1-2 days of unit/department-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs must be clean and professional; any color accepted
• Charting system: EPIC
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
