Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation as needed, typically every other weekend
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No call or standby requirements
• 24-bed telemetry unit with 1:4 nurse to patient ratio
• Must have minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• First-time travelers welcome
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Care for patients with heart failure, COPD, sepsis, AFIB, pneumonia, stroke, detox, and suicidal holds
• Administer set rate drips including Diltiazem, Heparin, Amiodarone, and Lidocaine (no titration required)
• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment (SpaceLabs) and sign off rhythm strips
• Floating requirements to medical/surgical units locally and may float to Meridian or Boise telemetry units
• Team nursing model with charge nurse support and administrative supervisor on site 24/7
• CNA support with 1:8 ratio, up to 3 CNAs when unit is full
• Access to respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
• Any color scrubs acceptable as long as clean and professional
• 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation provided
• EPIC charting system used
• BSN degree not required
• Experienced travelers may work as team leads with reduced patient load to support other nurses
