Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement (4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule)
• Holidays worked in rotation with permanent staff
• First to float between the 300 unit and the main unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Unit is divided into the 300 unit (14 beds - surgical, ortho, and medical patients) and the main unit (44 beds - cardiac focused, stepdown acuity including post cath, post pacemaker, post PCI, TAVR day 1 or greater, CABG day 1 or greater, sepsis, and respiratory distress)
• Charting system: Cerner EMR
• Telemetry: Philips system with monitor tech available; nurses required to read strips
• Drips include: amiodarone, heparin, cardizem, fixed rate insulin, nitro, and dopamine (renal dosing only)
• May work with BiPAP or CPAP; no vents
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Nurse aides available: 1 on night shift, 1 on mid shift, and 3-4 on day shift
• 6 hours of floor-specific orientation provided
• Scrub color: Navy
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Valid California nursing license required for submission
