Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required
• 3 twelve-hour shifts per contract for weekend coverage
• Patient ratios of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult patient population in a 24-bed telemetry unit with a daily census of 22
• Minimum one year of current Med/Tele experience required; 2 years preferred
• Travel experience required
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred
• Charting experience in Epic required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CA RN License
• Certifications must be AHA or ARC
• Accountable for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
• Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in assigned area
• Develop, implement, and coordinate a plan of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers
• Proficient skills required include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, IV insulin protocols, heparin protocols, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, wound care, tracheostomy care, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences
• Apply critical thinking to identify and solve routine or complex problems
• Ensure the privacy of each patient's protected health information (PHI)
