SICU RN Job in Wichita, KS

Opportunity:

RN - OR ICU/SICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Located on the 2nd floor of Building 7 in the ICU/Surgical ICU unit with 26 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:1 ratio for high acuity patients including post-CABG patients (estimated ratios, not guaranteed)
• Night shift team consists of 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech
• Work with specialized equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia devices, and ECMO
• EMR system: Meditech
• Care for trauma patients, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU patients
• Perform procedures including chest tube management, central line care, and medication drips
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH
• TNCC certification preferred
• Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities preferred
