Telemetry RN Job in Austin, TX

South Austin Hospital TX is seeking an RN for a 13-week contract position on a 30-bed neurology medical/surgical telemetry unit. You'll work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week with four weekend shifts per schedule. There are no on-call requirements.

Your Role:

• Provide direct patient care with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Perform stroke NIH assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care
• Monitor patients using Welch Allyn vital signs monitors and other equipment including COWs, Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, CareView Virtual Sitter, Telepsych, and Teleneuro systems
• Document in the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced telemetry environment

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• NIH stroke certification (required)
• Team-oriented and self-motivated approach

Additional Information:

Navy scrubs required. The unit will provide a packet of information on your start date, November 2, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,708.20 for the 91-day contract.
