Emergency Room RN Job in Newton, Iowa

MercyOne Newton Medical Center is seeking an RN for its Emergency Room. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Room (ED)
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; every other holiday required
• Duration: 90 days
• Weekly Pay: $2,358

About Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. Your responsibilities include triaging patients, administering treatments, monitoring vital signs, documenting care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective emergency nursing care.

What We're Looking For

You hold a current RN license and have experience in emergency care. You are comfortable working nights, managing a rotating weekend and holiday schedule, and thrive in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills are essential.

This temporary travel position allows you to expand your experience while maintaining flexibility. You will work three 12-hour night shifts weekly, giving you dedicated days off to rest and explore your assignment location.
