Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule
• 36 or 48 hours guaranteed per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Time off around Christmas is not available
• Will float between sections on occasion as needed
• Provide respiratory therapy services to adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work within service teams including Surgical/Neuro, Heart and Vascular, Medical, and Unit Rotation
• Perform a wide range of respiratory therapy skills including mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, intubation assist, bronchoscopy, arterial blood gas drawing and interpretation, tracheostomy care, and pulmonary hygiene
• Administer aerosol treatments, inhaled medications, and nitric oxide therapy
• Utilize Epic charting system - experience required
• 4 years of experience required; candidates with 2+ years of experience may be considered
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, RRT, Virginia State License
• ACLS and ACCS preferred
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
