Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift position
• 36 or 48 hours guaranteed per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Unable to approve time off around Christmas
• Will float between sections on occasion
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Charting system: Epic experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred; Trauma Level II experience required
• 4 years of experience required; open to reviewing candidates with 2+ years of experience
• Required certifications: BLS, RRT, VA State License
• ACLS and ACCS preferred
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Must be proactive and capable of working at the top of licensure
• Key skills include: Adult Critical Care, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Mechanical Ventilation, Intubation Assist, Extubation, Drawing Arterial Blood Gases, Interpretation of ABGs, Bronchoscopy, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Nitric Oxide, Inhaled Flolan, Pulmonary Hygiene, Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation, and additional respiratory therapy procedures
