PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 at grid and 5:1 when stretched
• Day and night shift grids include 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Neuro and trauma care experience required
• Perform neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and TLSO brace application
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, and IV infusions
• Perform lumbar drain management, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
• Utilize equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts
• Document using Cerner EMR system
• Float to stepdown units and med-surg units as needed
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Must be a team player with a patient-focused personality
