Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Every third weekend required
• No call requirements
• Float to other units as required by facility based on skill level
• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire orientation week
• Specialty focus on Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) floor
• Care for mother/baby and med/surg patients, GYN surgical, bariatric procedures, and colorectal surgeries
• Patient ratio of 6:1 (estimates, not guarantees) on a 24 adult/10 newborn bed unit
• Utilize nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments
• Operate Alaris IV pumps and document using EPIC EMR
• 1 year of Med Surg or Mother/Baby experience required
• Both Mother/Baby and Med Surg experience preferred
• Current RN license required - must meet criteria for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri
• Required certification: BLS from AHA only
• Preferred certifications: NRP and STABLE
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and motivated self-starter personality
• Scrub color: Black only - no attire other than black scrubs and Mercy branded tops accepted
