Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, Missouri is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment on a 60-bed Medical-Surgical unit. You'll work the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, on a 3x12 schedule with every other weekend required. There is no on-call obligation.

Position Details

• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours (to be indicated on submission)
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• Night shift orientation occurs during day shift hours; you must be available the entire week for orientation

Your Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Apply the nursing process to provide care for medical patients
• Maintain professional accountability for patient care and patient rights

Requirements

• Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for Missouri licensure or be currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Med Surg experience
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• ACLS certification from AHA (preferred)

Equipment and Systems

• Equipment: Bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, wound vacs
• EMR: EPIC
• Scrub color: Black only

This assignment runs 91 days, beginning July 20, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,115. You'll provide compassionate nursing care in a structured environment where your clinical skills and experience directly support patient outcomes.
