MRI Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Allied Health Professional MRI Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work three 12-hour rotating shifts per week, averaging 36 hours weekly, with a start date of October 12, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,759.40.

Your Responsibilities:

• Independently perform MRI imaging procedures with sound clinical judgment and initiative for diagnostic purposes
• Maintain and practice MR safety standards consistently within the department
• Review patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition, labeling, preparation, and contrast administration
• Identify all patients using two identifiers and utilize universal protocol during all procedures
• Perform exam review, processing, and archiving; ensure proper coding, tracking, and charge entry in the system
• Present all relevant information to the physician based on protocol prior to exam start
• Document patient history in the electronic record as required
• Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures to alleviate concerns
• Collaborate as a team member to expedite patient care efficiently
• Maintain clinical competency for all exams and equipment

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry
• Current certification: ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Compliance with PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73
