MRI Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 97-day travel assignment at Southwest – UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work 4x10 night shifts, earning $3,273 weekly.

In this role, you will independently perform MRI imaging procedures requiring clinical judgment and initiative for diagnostic purposes. You'll maintain MR safety standards, sustain clinical competency across all exams and equipment, and handle imaging review, processing, and archiving procedures. Your daily responsibilities include reviewing patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition, and preparing and administering contrast as required while documenting patient information in the electronic health record.

Key duties and competencies:

• Identify all patients using two identifiers and apply universal protocol for all procedures
• Ensure proper exam coding, tracking, and networking for archiving and radiologist interpretation
• Communicate clear, concise instructions to patients to ease anxiety and obtain cooperation
• Maintain departmental MR safety protocols and best practices
• Sustain clinical competency for all assigned exams and MRI equipment

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry
• ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, or ARDMS certification
• BLS certification
• Pennsylvania Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 compliance
