MRI Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Southwest – UPMC Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work a 4x10 rotating shift, earning $3,311 weekly.

In this role, you will independently perform MRI imaging procedures for diagnostic purposes, applying independent judgment and initiative throughout each examination. You'll maintain strict MR safety protocols, ensure clinical competency across all exams and equipment, and handle the full scope of image review, processing, and archiving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI imaging procedures independently with attention to diagnostic accuracy
• Practice and maintain MR safety protocols within the department
• Review patient information and present relevant details to the physician before exam start
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and apply universal protocol
• Assess physician orders and apply departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition
• Label, prepare, and administer contrast as required; document patient history in electronic records
• Ensure exams are coded, tracked, networked for archiving, and charges are entered accurately
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and address concerns
• Collaborate across departments to expedite efficient patient care

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
• Graduation from an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry
• Current certification: ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Compliance with PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73
