Pediatrics RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You will provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd in Mesa, Arizona. This is a 3x12 day shift position with an 89-week duration, starting September 28, 2026. You will earn $2,307 per week.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of pediatric patients according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Review patient history and physical with patient and family, ensuring timely completion
• Review diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs, including discharge planning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish realistic and measurable patient goals
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to licensed and unlicensed personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, modifying the plan as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely and legible manner
• Participate in shared leadership, education, and mentoring of facility personnel, patients, students, and families
• Work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays, and float assignments per department guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Recent acute care experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in pediatrics
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions compliance due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification in pediatrics
