Pediatrics RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Banner Desert Medical Center is seeking an RN for our Pediatrics unit in Mesa, Arizona. This is a travel position running 89 days, starting November 2, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Weekly pay: $2,307
• Location: 1400 S Dobson Rd, Mesa, AZ

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards
• Review patient history and physical with patients and families, ensuring timely completion
• Review diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Develop individualized plans of care, including discharge planning based on patient-specific needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to establish realistic, measurable patient goals
• Delegate appropriately and supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely and legible manner
• Participate in shared leadership, education, and mentoring of facility personnel, patients, students, and families
• Work varied schedules including weekends and holidays per department guidelines

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience
• Experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as an RN in pediatrics
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Exposure to blood and bodily fluids; standard precautions required

Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred.
