Pediatrics RN Job in Mesa, AZ

You will provide nursing care to pediatric patients at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd in Mesa, AZ. This is a 3x12 day shift position for an 89-week assignment beginning November 2, 2026. You will earn $2,307 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Review patient history and physical with patients and families, ensuring timely completion
• Review diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Develop individualized care plans including discharge planning based on patient-specific needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to establish realistic and measurable patient goals
• Delegate appropriately and provide supervision to licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely and legible manner
• Participate in shared leadership, education, mentoring of facility personnel, patients, students, and families
• Work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays, and float assignments per department guidelines

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience in acute care within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in pediatrics
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions required due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
