Telemetry RN Job in New Orleans, LA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit at Ochsner West Campus, caring for adult and geriatric patient populations in a 28-bed census unit with 35 total beds. This is a travel assignment lasting 91 days, starting September 21, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 day shifts with self-scheduling and weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekly pay: $2,051
• Block scheduling considered

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform special procedures including TPN, wound care, drain management, foley catheter insertion, PICC line management, and narcotic administration
• Administer IV antibiotics and manage PEG tubes
• Participate in wound care team rounds Monday through Friday with wound care NP and wound care nurse

Support & Resources

• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Epic charting system

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Telemetry
• ACLS and BLS (AHA) required
• Epic charting system experience required
• LTAC experience not required; first-time travelers accepted
• Non-local travelers only: must be located more than 65 miles from facility address
