ED RN Job in Poplar Bluff, MO

Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a 13-week travel assignment. You will work mid shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, three days per week at 12 hours per shift, earning $1,971 weekly. Start date is August 24, 2026.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 1:4 for general patients and 1:1–2 for trauma patients. Your responsibilities include rapidly assessing patient conditions, assigning Emergency Severity Index scores, and delivering immediate life-saving interventions to stabilize critical patients. You will administer medications, coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, and maintain clinical competencies through continuing education. You will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery while delegating priorities and supervising assigned personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years of emergency room nursing experience
• Current ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and SAMA (or equivalent) certifications
• TNCC and ENPC preferred
• Knowledge of Cerner EMR system

Facility Details

The facility uses a Cerner electronic medical record system. Staff wear royal blue scrubs. Blocked scheduling may be requested based on operational needs. This is an auto-offer position—no interview required.
