Emergency Department RN Job in Springfield, MO

Join Mercy Hospital Springfield as a travel RN in our 68-bed Emergency Department. This is a 91-day assignment beginning July 29, 2026, working three 12-hour night shifts weekly from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Compensation & Schedule

• Weekly pay: $2,348
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (specify on submission form)
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call or float requirements
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; you must be available the entire first week
• Block schedules cannot be accommodated
• RTO (Return Time Off) made up on back end; not approved first week of assignment
• One holiday RTO request permitted per assignment

Role & Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care in a Level 1 Trauma, Stroke, STEMI center and regional burn center. Work with a 4:1 patient ratio, managing high-acuity cases across all age groups. Apply the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while coordinating care with ancillary departments. The department processes 200+ patients daily.

Requirements

• Current RN license valid for Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
• One year Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility OR two years in a Level 2 Trauma facility
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), TNCC certifications required
• NIHSS may be submitted without but must be obtained prior to start date
• Trauma, pediatrics, and high-acuity experience preferred
