RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 4x12 shift schedule
• Weekend coverage required
• 40 orientation hours
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Local candidates not accepted
• Charge nurse coverage may be required based on operational needs with provided training and resources
• Must be comfortable with potential charge nurse responsibilities
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Unable to accommodate RTO for the following holidays: Memorial Day and weekend, Father's Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for both days and nights
• Floating is required within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Unit census of 24 beds
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Key skills include telemetry monitoring, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, cardiac drip management, wound care, tracheostomy care, PICC line management, and use of rapid response/code teams
