Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts with variable weekends and holidays as needed
• May be required to float to other Med Surg or rehab units as needed
• Expected to work 2 of 3 major upcoming holidays (Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day)
• No on-call requirements
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA or ARC only)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during day shifts, 6 patients during night shifts
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics, including medical diagnoses, surgical diagnoses, telemetry patients, and swing bed patients
• Skills required include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tubes, CVA management, heparin protocols, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, intracranial bleeds, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management, telemetry/remote monitoring, tracheostomy care/management, wound care/wound vac, and more
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Tobacco and fragrance free facility
