PCU RN Job in Mesa, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd in Mesa, Arizona. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week. You will earn $2,559 weekly.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel as appropriate
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and contribute to quality indicator improvement
• Precept and mentor staff, students, and other personnel as appropriate

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting, with specialty area experience within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently; may lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions compliance due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

You will work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays per department guidelines.
