Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Avon, Indiana

You will work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at IU Health West Hospital in Avon, Indiana. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of August 24, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

You will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on a 5x8 day schedule. Your weekly pay is $2,751. You must be prepared to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. You may float to other facilities based on operational need.

Requirements

• Current Indiana state license (must be in hand prior to submission; pending licenses are not accepted)
• Current BLS, CNMT or NMTCB, and ARRT(N) certifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine
• Community hospital experience required
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system

Responsibilities

You will perform a full range of nuclear medicine procedures including 3 Phase, Bone, Brain, Gastric Emptying, HIDA Scan, MUGA Scan, Nuclear Cardiology, Perfusion, Renal, Ventilation/Perfusion, and Whole Body scans. You will start and maintain IVs, draw venous blood, perform pharmacological stress testing, and manage the storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials according to safety protocols.

Patient Population

You will work primarily with adult and geriatric patients.

IU Health West Hospital provides interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams. Free parking is available. Work attire is royal blue scrubs.
