About this role

Novant Health Rowan Medical Center is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 182-day travel assignment. You'll work 5x8 day shifts (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM) with call requirements and every third weekend scheduled per unit needs.

Role Overview

You will assist providers during diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures in a combo lab covering IR, Cardiology, Vascular, and EP. Your primary responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating IR and Cath Lab procedures, managing telemetry, and supporting urgent and emergent cases including STEMIs. Approximately 80% of cases are interventional radiology, with the remaining split between cardiology, vascular, and electrophysiology. You'll work with adults and geriatric patients, including those requiring device implants (PPM and ICD).

Call and Scheduling

Call requirement is minimum 7 days per month: two call days per week for two weeks each month and one call weekend per month. Call team consists of three staff members, one of whom is an RN. STEMI callback time is 30 minutes; IR callback timing is determined by procedure type. There is no float requirement.

Equipment and Procedures

You will work with GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovie System, Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit, IABP, and Impella.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist with approximately 90% IR experience
  • ACLS, BLS, and ARRT or RCIS certification
  • NC or Compact nursing license
  • Scrub, circulate, and telemetry skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT Advanced Certification, RCES, or RCIS with medical experience
  • Experience with EKG lead placement, carotid stenting, catheter/drain exchange, diagnostic cardiac cath, left and right heart catheterization, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, renal artery stent placement, stent placement, thoracentesis, ureteral stent placement, kyphoplasties, and biopsies

Onboarding

Orientation is 40 to 80 hours. You'll start directly on the unit on Mondays until Dimensions training is completed. Scrubs are provided. Weekly pay is $2,736. Assignment begins August 26, 2026.
