Job Details:

• Execute specialized therapy plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills and coordination
• Teach patients how to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating, using adaptive techniques
• Instruct patients and families on the use of adaptive equipment such as reachers, mobility aids, and modified kitchen utensils
• Record detailed notes on patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns, reporting findings to the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans as needed
• Provide emotional encouragement to patients and train caregivers on how to assist with home programs
• Prepare treatment areas, clean equipment, and handle administrative duties such as scheduling and billing
• Minimum 2 years of OTA experience in a long-term care (LTC) setting required
• Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) experience preferred
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Texas license or compact license required
